You’re a developer who gets excited about a well-built web-based front-end application. Before you start working on the application, you make sure you know what the front-end users need, but you’re also clear on what happens in the back-end. You know how your share fits into the larger whole of the project. You’re committed and creative and like to contribute proactively to finding the best solutions for our clients.
Your work as a Front-end Developer
At Technolution, you will be working every day with highly-trained colleagues in compact project teams of two to six people. As a Frond-end Developer, you translate use cases and graphic designs into functional web-based applications. In consultation with the project leaders and the designers, you develop user-friendly user interfaces and an efficient, pleasant user experience. At the same time, you ensure the connection with the business logic of the back-end systems is seamless. Because the back-end is often built at the same time as the front-end, you’ll regularly use back-end simulations to test your products.
Initially, you will be working in a High Assurance project on building superior-quality security solutions for our brand Technolution Prime, and for this reason, the application procedure includes a screening. And afterwards? To a large extent, that’s up to you. Are you interested in expanding your domain knowledge in the field of High Assurance, or do you prefer to broaden your perspective in projects for other sectors, such as mobility, energy, industry or high tech? - As a front-end developer, of course you want to know what tools and techniques we use. Quite a lot, actually. Here’s a short overview:
- Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS Pre-processing
- Karma/Jasmine for testing
- Visual Studio Code as IDE
- SCRUM, GIT, GITLab, Docker, Continuous Integration (or a simulation) with back-end systems in Java, Rust or .NET
We don’t expect you to know or master all of these already! We will give you every opportunity to develop, usually through on-the-job training under the supervision of experienced colleagues.
Typically you
You have:
- Completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in technology
- At least 2 years’ experience as a front-end developer
- Affinity with UX/UI design
- Good Dutch speaking and writing skills
As a Front-end Developer you’ll be working together with colleagues a lot, and good Dutch language skills are therefore essential.
You are:

- Creative and enterprising
You’re fine with high expectations for the technology. You love to do hardcore technical work, but also have a vision on how best to do it. You contribute proactively to the conversation and are keen to engage in discussions about technology with colleagues. Screening and Fitch are part of the application procedure
Because your first task will be to cooperate in developing a High Assurance application for government bodies, you will be screened as part of the application procedure.
Completing the Fitch method is similarly part of the application procedure. We use online analytical questions to map your characteristics and priorities, and compare these with the position and the qualities it requires.
